Large-scale combat returns anew in the Activision Publishing, Inc. E3 lineup, thanks to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare—a brand new entry in the smash first-person shooter franchise. Developed by series creator Infinity Ward, Infinite Warfare embraces a new futuristic setting, complete with spaceships and action set deep within the solar system. In addition to the game’s popular campaign mode, Infinite Warfare also offers online multiplayer shootouts and the return of the raucous Zombies cooperative play mode.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare releases November 4 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. In addition to the standard release, Activision will offer an Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition, which comes with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, an updated version of 2007’s fan-favorite Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It features the full campaign mode and 10 of the original multiplayer maps, all enhanced with new graphics and features.
Activision’s toys-to-life hit also returns this year with Skylanders Imaginators, a new entry that allows players to mix and match elements of the cartoonish characters to create their own in-game heroes. Hailing from series originator Toys for Bob, Imaginators incorporates new characters with the hundreds of existing Skylanders figurines, and will debut on October 16 for PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Activision will also showcase new content for Destiny, its multiplatform online shooter developed by Bungie.
